AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known hostnames serving ads.
If you have problems with this app, or you know of additional hostnames not being filtered, please comment in xda-developers.com forum so it can be fixed!
Recent changes:
Now built against SDK 7 (Android 2.1+), however the app needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled to work properly, simply upgrading will cause a JAVA EOF error.
Current version removed BTC IP option,too many users were causing excessive load on the server,this also has been disabled on the server so not upgrading won't keep this feature.
Latest version: 0.6.4 (for Android version 2.1 and higher)
